So I get a letter today saying I can't actually sign on for job seekers allowance because I have not paid the relevant NI contributions - bother...so I am now an invisible statistic!! I am still jobless, but no longer registered as unemployed. On the brighter side I have applied for a job with a chemists covering Christmas shifts and a job with a bank...I heard straight away that I had made it overnight to a telephone interview for the banking job - yay! And heard the same day that I had made it through to the next stage for the other job. Telephone interview on Thursday...chemist interview next Monday.
